(More customer reviews)I have anxiously awaited the release of this scale for some time and now that I finally have it I am even happier than I thought I could be. Everybody in my family is big. I am 6'4", 375 pounds, so the need for a scale that could handle my weight was actually relatively tough to find. After talking to the folks at EatSmart, they convinced me to hold out for this one and I am glad I did.

The platform itself is the biggest individual selling point for me. Its probably a good five inches wider than the last scale I had. It gives me piece of mind that I am being properly weighed and I don't have to worry about turning an ankle or worse because my feet are hanging off. The 440 lb capacity was also a must for me, and so far I have found it very accurate. It was within .2 lbs of the scale in my gym, so I am finally confident that I am loosing some weight. The backlit display is nice, but frankly unless you live in a cave I don't think you need it as the display is so big to start with.

The fact that this company also seems to stand behind their products is big for me. At 350+ lbs I have gone through a few scales over the years, and after talking with the owners at Eatsmart I would not hesitate to buy from them again. Probably the best purchase of my young Amazon career.
