(More customer reviews)I've had nearly the opposite experience as the previous reviewer. I have found this scale to be WILDLY inaccurate. If calibrated (by tapping the corner and waiting for it to zero out) I can step on and off of the scale 5 times and get 5 different readings that vary from 2-5(!) pounds (it is set on a hardwood floor), which has made the whole issue of weight loss a guessing game. I am left assuming I lost 10lbs because the averages have fallen by roughly 10lbs. However my doc tells me that during the same time he shows me as having lost only 3lbs and ~7lbs heavier than averaged. I will agree though, this hardly feels like it could take it's stated weight. I started at ~310 and was worried it would crack. Add to that a cryptic multi-user feature and I just would say no if this hadn't been given to me.

(More customer reviews)I love this digital scale and how it tells you how your weight has changed from the previous weight and beginning point and how many pounds away you are from your goal weight.

The only thing I dislike is how you can't just step on. You have to tap it and weight for it to zero out before stepping on. Which I guess is more accurate in the end because it calibrates every time.

It's also very nice looking. Very happy with it!

(More customer reviews)I have owned this scale for about a week. First of all, the manual is well written, simple, and accurate. Both my mother and I use the scale and have found it to be accurate as compared to our old analog scale. To be honest, our old scale gave varying readings of 1 and 2 pound differences with each repeated weighing at 1-minute intervals. The Taylor 7009 gave consistent readings under the same test everytime except once where the pound difference was up by 0.5.

The scale is relatively small, neat, and gorgeous with its black and silver finish. It has quite a slim profile, and it does feel solid and seems durable, but only time will tell if it is durable. The display is large and the numbers are very easy to read. On the topic of the display, it must be noted that the scale gives a reading within 3 to 4 seconds of standing on it, and it dutifully turns itself off after a few seconds. (I believe this is why the battery would be able to last a lifetime as the manufacturer promises).

It is very sensitive, so it is advisable that once you stand on it, remain as still as possible, because too much movement will result in an Error message on the display. This is easily resolved by stepping off and then on the scale again.

In short, this is a beautifully made scale which functions the way it should - accurately.

(More customer reviews)After months of frustration looking for a bathroom scale that would be accurate and reliable I am finally happy to say I think that this one fits the bill.I have been on a pretty hardcore weight loss regimen for the last seven months and got sick of dealing with a series of bathroom scales that were inaccurate and inconsistent.It was a huge hit to my morale every time I got on and the weights fluctuated +- 2 to 3 pounds in a few minutes.After a lot of research here are the plusses and minuses I found:

PROS
1. Consistency - Get on the scale, get off, get back on.Repeat as many times as you want.You are going to get the same weight.No fluctuations or hickups.Biggest single thing I needed in a scale.
2.Accuracy - I actually brought this scale to my Weight Watchers class and compared to what they had (beam scale).Dead on accurate within .2 pounds.
3.Regular batteries - Doesn't take any fancy batteries.Put in the four AAA batteries that came with it and I was off and running.
4.Sturdy platform - Will not tip over.Base is sturdy and low to the ground.Plenty of room to maneuver.
5. Backlit Display - Don't have to hunch over to read this display. Its the biggest I have owned on a scale by far.
6. Easy activation - Just step on this scale.No hitting buttons to turn it on.No tapping.Step on and get a weight!

CONS
So far none.Will update in the future if that changes.

Would buy this scale again and definitely will be giving it as a gift to friends and family in the future.

Update:I contacted their customer service to inquire about the mechanics of the scale (my trainer wanted to make sure I didn't buy a scale that "remembered" my weight).Not only did one of the owners of the company actually pick up the phone, but he spent the time to make sure I understood my scale well. They seem to really stand behind these products.
