Escali B180RC Glass Platform Bathroom Scale Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)My Escali B180RC did not work after arriving via UPS from Amazon.

It also appears to have been returned merchandise. Included with the scale, was newspaper from late December (December 28) from the 502 area code.

Amazon sells this as a new scale, but apparently ships returned defective merchandise. At least with respect to this scale.

I advise not purchasing this scale.

I'm about to go through the hassle of returning it for credit.

The scale is small, made mostly of glass, and the LCD has no backlight. Anyone with large feet will have difficulty standing on it.

Taylor 7506 Precision Tech Lithium-Battery Electronic Glass/Chrome Scale Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I got this scale just for the "upscale" look. It's sleek metal with glass. They state that the lithium battery lasts a long time, so we'll see.It does take four rotations of the `zeros' to fly by before your weight is shown (to the half pound). It looks great and it's cheap. It's thick glass, so if your weight shows more than you expected, you can toss this sucker across the room and it won't break!

UPDATE:Almost five years and it is still working on the same battery!

Clean, simple, elegant -- all words that describe this scale perfectly. With its minimalist design, the scale looks perfect in any bathroom environment.Quality is built throughout this scale. The tempered glass platform is 8mm thick. The four load cell sensors are attached to the glass with UV glue allowing the spun aluminum disks to show through.Coupled with the glass platform, the aluminum disks catch the light to shine and glisten.(Taylor does not use paint to adhere glass platforms to the sensor disks, it detracts from the design of the scale). The 1.0 readout is highlighted by bright chrome, making it easy to read. The scale is pound/kilogram capable with a 300 lb/136 kg capacity.Includes a long life lithium battery that lasts and lasts, month after month.5 year warranty.
