(More customer reviews)I bought this scale over the other 4 products on the shelf because of all the different heath indicators it reported and because the cartoon-like picture on the box suggested it would be very easy to read.Well it turned out that the operation of the scale is far more complex than it needed to be, and the stream of health indicators are cycled thru far too quickly and then the LCD display goes blank (I'm guessing they didn't do any usability testing before releasing the design).To read all the info it measured/calculated, you need to repeat the weighting process (again, too complex) and be quick to catch what you missed the first time thru.If you just need a basic weight tracking capability, you should probably buy some other scale.Otherwise, this does have more features than the others but you need to be prepared for extra complexity and inconvenient operation.

(More customer reviews)I had looked at the reviews and saw that the Tanita scales overall did very well. So I purchased a cheaper Tanita scale (model HD 327) at first, assuming that all the Tanita scales were reliable, but I was wrong.. I sent back the lower quality model because it was flimsy and not very accurate.. But I decided to give Tanita a second chance and purchased this model the HD 372. It is extremely acccurate, very sturdy, and well made. It is also very attractive.. The blue back lit display is very readable even if you use it in the morning without your contact lenses or glasses on. It uses two different batteries, a nine volt for the blue backlight and a lithium battery for the digital readout. So you could leave out the nine volt battery if you didn't want to use the light.. I've tested the accuracy by weighing known weights, such as free weights with it and it's always accurate. You can't go wrong with this scale.

(More customer reviews)I am very happy with this scale.I didn't really want one with a clear glass platform, but couldn't find anything I liked the looks of, so went with this.Now I love how it looks on my ceramic-tiled floor.But the important thing is how it weighs.I think it's very good.For all I know, it could be a pound or two off, but does that really matter?All I care about is whether the numbers go down (yea!) or up (boo hoo!).I'm not going to drive myself nuts getting on and off every 5 minutes like some people seem to do.I do, however, always weigh, step off, then weigh again (just my own quirk), and the weight is always exactly the same.I feel confident using it.So I think it functions just as it should and it looks great and the price was certainly right (saw this exact model in a store right after I ordered from Amazon, and it was $8 more, plus tax).The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of the stupid sticker that comes on it.As others have mentioned, there is a large,very hard-to-remove red sticker showing where you "tap" the scale (the middle of the glass platform) to turn it on.No matter how I tap, the scale does NOT turn on.Instead, I stick one toe under a corner, slightly lift the scale up, let it set back down on the floor and it comes on.Don't let this deter you.It's kind of ridiculous, but no big deal.Overall, I am VERY happy with this scale.
