I agree with at least the first three reviews.My "lifetime" lithium battery lasted one year.Upon replacing the battery, I "reset" the scale per the instructions.At that point, I could get past a dashed line on the screen and it would not only not read my weight, but also not shut off.Those expensive little 3V CR2032 batteries died on me BECAUSE the scale would not shut off.And as far as the first review, I can also totally agree.I could not get consistent weight readings (yes, it's a flat floor)from one time to the next.SAVE YOURSELF SOME $$ and just go buy a cheap "spring" style scale.OK, it might not be accurate to 1 pound (say), but isn't that good enough?My new Sunbeam spring scale from Walmart for $15.00 works great and it's SIMPLE.
