(More customer reviews)Ugh, this scale is total crap. It claims to read weight, body fat, and water %.
I have no idea it's accuracy on water and I don't care, because I highly doubt buyers are purchasing the scale out of an intense desire to calculate their water saturation levels. Am I thirsty? No? Great, that's good enough for me.
What I do know is that it sucks at accurate weight calculations and it really sucks at body fat %. I'm pretty active and have been actively watching what I eat for the last few months gearing up for bikini season here in SoCal (which, I'm pretty sure is one of Dante's levels of Hell. One where you're constantly asked by anorexic girls if they look fat and Katy Perry's "California Gurls" is blasted 24/7). Despite my dedication to fitness (and coffee, air, water, and salad) this stupid scale has weighed me the EXACT same weight for 3 months. Give or take a few oz's. My pants fall off, but still this scale insists I haven't lost a pound. I read a tip about putting something on it to recalibrate it and then see if you get a more accurate reading. I tried that. Here's a list of things in my house that weigh the exact same as me: my purse, a bottle of mouthwash, and one of those tree branch jewelry holders from Urban Outfitters. Also it's BFP reading is schizophrenic. One day it told me 21.5, the next day (I'm not even kidding) it told me 33%! You don't go from athletic to morbidly obese in one day. And if you could just suddenly be morbidly obese then I've been wasting serious time at the gym for naught. I finally discovered my gym has one of those legit Dr scales. I've lost 11 pounds. Taylor Body Fat Scale, I hatechu. You're as useless as my boyfriend in the womens section of H&M.

Cons: Some of the read outs changed for the worst over the course of a day, first the reads were good than the next day they were bad kind of confusing , but I'm still getting the hang of it.

(More customer reviews)This scale/bodyfat tester is of great quality. I have also been very impressed with the overall accuracy. Both my wife and I are trainers and are pretty nutty about tracking our weight and bodyfat. The numbers are fairly consistant over time and compare well with other impedence testers and caliper body fat tests.
The overall body scan is also helpful, giving bone mass, percentage of water, muscle weight, and metabolic age. It says that I have a metabolic age of 12 though I am 37 years old -- so of course I'm going to like this thing!

(More customer reviews)I made the mistake of purchasing a less expensive Conair Thinner scale. It was woefully inaccurate, and if I stepped on it more than once, my weight varied by 3-5 pounds!! Back to the store that went for a full refund!! I also had a less expensive Tanita that I really liked, but the BMI function quit working after a few short months.I was able to return it to the place of purchase without a hassle. Figuring I got a dud Tanita, I was willing to give this brand another try. So, I bought the BC-534 as a replacement.

This one is as accurate as my Dr.'s scale.Don't look to step on an off of this scale for a better reading, because the repeatability on this one is excellent. I like the bone density and especially the BMI readout. I think the BMI on this Tanita scale is better than on the less expensive Tanita that I returned. The numbers are nice, big and high contrast for those of us with less than perfect eyesight.

I only give this four stars, because it isn't cheap, and the glass platform will need frequent cleaning if dust and water spots drive you crazy. You will also have to program it initially for your own use, which doesn't take long to do, and is easy.

(More customer reviews)This scale is only a month old and, like the other reviewers have said, it's readings are all over the place.I have gained/lost 3-5 lbs in 10 minutes according to this thing.I even tested it by getting on with a 5 lb dumbell after weighing myself regularly, expecting to see a 5 lb increase, as the dumbell should register.No!!I no longer have my box, but I really want a refund on this product!!
